Thermal Energy Storage Researcher Engineer

H.Glass is a dynamic and growing company specialized in solar technologies, developing high-tech, low-consumption devices.

We are seeking a highly motivated Thermal Energy Storage Researcher Engineer to join our team in Ecublens – Lausanne Area.

Your Mission:

  • Design and develop new thermal energy management and storage systems for new applications in H.Glass products.
  • Develop thermal energy storage materials with improved specific capacitance and latent heat; designate thermal energy management systems and exchange systems; designate light management and photo-thermal system integrated with the thermal storage system.
  • Assess and screen materials and systems under development or in the market according to the requirements of H.Glass products.
  • Work with other R&D team members to develop prototypes.
  • Assess key metrics in pilot-level and mass-produced products.
  • Develop H.Glass intellectual property in areas of design and implementation through patent activity.

Your Profile:

  • M.Phil. or Ph.D. in energy and power, chemical engineering, material science, or similar majors.
  • Mastering thermal energy storage and management procedure and mechanisms.
  • Experience in designing thermal energy systems, thermal batteries, or phase-changing materials is preferred.
  • Knowledge of thermal flow design and thermal insulation designs is also preferred.
  • Experience in photo-thermal materials and systems, light management is also preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboration within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Proficient level in English.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
