Research Associate in Industrial Robotics with Focus on Computational Methods

The IRZ team at ETH Zurich is seeking a highly motivated and skilled research associate to contribute to our cutting-edge projects in industrial robotics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing computational methods for robot-based manufacturing.

Focusing on pressing challenges in the field, we utilize advanced computational methods, machine learning, modeling, and custom software to drive innovation. Our state-of-the-art laboratory enables us to quickly test and refine our solutions, and we are well-funded to ensure the success of our projects.

We are looking for a dynamic and versatile individual with a strong background in robotics and a hands-on attitude. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python and/or C++, as well as demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in developing and implementing computational methods for robot-based manufacturing.
  • Contribute to the development of software, algorithms, and mechatronics.
  • Maintain and extend our infrastructure.
  • Initiate and lead research projects fitting your skills and interests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a renowned university.
  • Experience in mechanical- and software-engineering.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Hands-on experience in Python and/or C++.
