Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Proprietary Trading to join our team at Repower AG in Switzerland. This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established proprietary trading desk and drive business growth in European physical and financial energy markets.

Estimated Salary:

€120,000 - €180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of traders and overseeing a relevant origination book. Key tasks include generating substantial margins from speculative activities, maximizing return on value-at-risk (VaR), and complying with assigned limits. The role also involves fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration with Repower's Trading Desk in Milan, as well as supporting the Asset Trading team and Portfolio Management with fundamental views and market insights.

Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in energy trading in European markets on a proprietary basis
  • Proven track record of achieving successful and consistent proprietary trading results
  • Previous experience in leading trading teams as Trading Manager or Lead Trader
  • Extensive network of contacts within European commodity trading
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is an asset
  • Willingness to learn Italian language and relocate to Poschiavo, Switzerland
