Job Description
We are seeking a talented Accelerator Operator to join our team, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CERN's Proton Synchrotron Booster (PSB) accelerator. The successful candidate will have a strong background in physics, engineering, or computing, with experience in operating large facilities and their associated hardware. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with physicists and engineers to optimize the accelerator operation and develop new technologies.

Responsibilities
As an Accelerator Operator, you will be responsible for:
• Operating the PSB accelerator and beam lines to ensure safe and efficient beam delivery
• Collaborating with physicists and engineers to optimize the accelerator operation and develop new technologies
• Participating in software or hardware-related development as part of a team or in collaboration with engineers or physicists
• Maintaining accurate records and reports of operations and performance
• Contributing to the development of new procedures and guidelines for accelerator operation and maintenance

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of physics, engineering, computing, or a related field. They will have initial work experience in a technical or scientific environment and experience in the field of physics, engineering, or computing. Proficiency in object-oriented development language environments, such as JAVA and/or Python, would be an asset. The ability to learn and adapt quickly is essential, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
