Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our client's team in Stein. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on support to the commissioning and qualification of utility and HVAC systems installed at the site.
The I&C Engineer will provide hands-on support and management for the Hot Loop Testing Team, ensuring seamless execution of test protocols and maintaining communication with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include providing I&C field support for commissioning and qualification of utility and process systems, reviewing and supporting execution of Hot Loop Test protocols, and managing Modbus networks to equipment items.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide I&C field support for the commissioning and qualification of black and clean utility generation, storage, and distribution systems, heating ventilation and air conditioning for classified and non-classified areas, compounding and SIP/CIP system
- Review and support execution of Hot Loop Test protocols, including Wago remote IO interface and communication testing, field instrumentation, interface testing between package units, alarm and interlock testing, emergency stop verification, and Modbus network configuration
- Manage Modbus networks to equipment items such as variable speed drives, package units, and other relevant devices
- Work closely with the Hot Loop Testing Supervisor to ensure seamless execution of test protocols and maintain effective communication with stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation/Process Control, or related field)
- 5-10 years of industrial commissioning experience with Electrical and Instrument systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of the I&C Commissioning team
- Experience using Kneat for CQV test execution
- Fluent English language written and verbal communication skills
- cGMP knowledge and knowledge of regulatory requirements
