CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is seeking talented researchers to join our team of scientists and engineers working on the design, development, and operation of particle accelerators. As a researcher in applied physics and nuclear research, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in areas such as accelerator physics, optics and beam dynamics, and radiation-matter interactions.

To qualify for this position, you must have a PhD in applied physics and engineering, with a strong background in one or more of the areas mentioned above. You should also have a maximum of 3 years of research experience after your PhD, measured up to the closing date for application.

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will receive an employment contract for in principle 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months. They will also receive a stipend of 6,911 Swiss francs per month (net of tax), comprehensive health insurance, and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.

Applicants should submit their applications no later than 5 April 2025 at midnight (23:59 PM CET). The documents required include a statement of interests in research and development, based on your experience, and three recent letters of recommendation.
