Head of R&D High Voltage Components

We are seeking an experienced R&D Manager to oversee our research and development team in the manufacturing of high voltage accessories. The ideal candidate has solid experience in product design for high voltage accessories, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and coach a team in an international context.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coach the international R&D team in the development of new high voltage cables components and the improvement of existing products
- Supervise the complete product development lifecycle, from prototype through to production, ensuring all projects meet technical standards and customer requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless consolidation and dispatch of new products
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technical norms, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and innovation in product design
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to be innovative and strive for excellence
- Develop and implement R&D strategies that align with our client's overall business objectives
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders across all tiers, delivering project briefings, research insights, and strategic proposals
- Technical University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- Extensive expertise in designing high voltage accessories
- Demonstrated success in leading an R&D team within a global context
- In-depth understanding of industry norms and technical guidelines pertaining to high voltage products
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and a strategic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Capability to guide and inspire a team to meet project objectives and deadlines
- English fluent, German (nice to have)
- Proficiency with project management tools and techniques
- Acquainted with advanced simulation and modeling programs
- Understanding of production processes for high voltage components
- Capability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and adjust to shifting priorities
