Steinhem, a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company, is seeking an accomplished Commercial MANAGER to lead their commercial efforts in Zurich. This role requires a strong understanding of project delivery, commercial operations, and business development strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in business development, project finance, and commercial management. They will be responsible for leading project delivery and commercial teams, developing and executing business development strategies, and cultivating relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead project delivery and commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand Steinhem's presence in target markets.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to drive business growth.
  • Represent Steinhem at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to build brand visibility and attract new business prospects.
  • Oversee tender preparation, including cost analysis and coordination with consultants, suppliers, and partners.
  • Manage procurement operations during project execution.
  • Contribute to contract drafting and management throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Monitor project costs and progress to ensure objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with external consultants to ensure effective implementation of contractual and risk management processes.
  • Enhance financial oversight through accurate invoicing, revenue tracking, and cash flow management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, preferably with site-based construction experience.
  • Proven track record in business development and market opportunity recognition.
  • Excellent networking and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Desirable experience in transport, renewable energy, or water infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools and software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Significant experience in project controls, scheduling, cost management, or project coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with excellent communication and team-building skills.
  • Process-oriented approach to achieving consistent results.
  • Positive and proactive attitude when addressing challenges.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • MANDATORY: European passport.
