Senior Embedded Systems Engineer

About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Linux kernel drivers for a variety of hardware modules, including cameras, graphics, and wireless front ends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop technical concepts for our devices.
  • Bring up, customize, and maintain OS images and integrate them into our CI system.
  • Configure and integrate drivers for hardware modules, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Develop platform-specific tests to ensure high product quality.
  • Work with electronics and production engineers to define processes for configuring, calibrating, and producing instruments.

About You

  • You have a relevant university qualification in computer science, mechatronic, or electronic engineering.
  • You possess advanced embedded development skills, including BSP, kernel, and driver development, debugging.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of embedded development on Linux, Yocto, OS internals, open source development, tools, and libraries.
  • You are familiar with using git-based repositories and CI/CD systems.
  • You have a structured thinking style and strong ability to diagnose hardware and software issues, with hands-on experience in hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization.
  • Experience with contributing to open source projects is a plus.
  • You have strong communication skills in English, and German is a plus.

We Offer

  • Flexible working hours based on a 40-hour week.
  • Vacation entitlement: 25 days from the age of 20, 27 days from the age of 40, and 30 days from the age of 50.
  • Annual salary including a 13th month salary in November and a yearly bonus, dependent on company revenue.
