Chief Privacy Officer, Medical Device Compliance

We are seeking an experienced privacy professional to join our data protection team as a Chief Privacy Officer, Medical Device Compliance. This role will assist in supporting teams throughout the enterprise and help shape the development of new products and services. Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of European data privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including emerging trends.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will advise on all aspects of European data privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including emerging laws, sector-specific laws, data protection authority actions, and court decisions. They will also guide various business and functional teams regarding data privacy and data protection requirements concerning their projects and daily operations. Additionally, this role will coordinate privacy negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, perform follow-up tasks, and develop strategic approaches to data privacy and data protection.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must have at least 7+ years of post-qualification experience as a practicing attorney, with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in data privacy and data protection. A solid knowledge of data privacy and data protection laws and regulations in the European Union, UK, and Switzerland is required. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience assessing products, applications, and providers, defining privacy requirements in relation to compliance, and working knowledge of technology business models and operational security issues. Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and fluency in English are essential.
