Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our Energy Trading Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 30+ persons, based in Paris, Geneva, and Houston, and will report to the General Manager for Gas & Power Trading IT.
Key Responsibilities- Manage 5-6 delivery teams, each responsible for a portfolio of systems
- Ensure the staffing and development of the delivery teams, including internal and contract resources
- Manage service agreements with IT contracting companies
- Consolidate and validate resource plans and time reporting from the teams
- Take a leading role in the design and implementation of physical and short-term power trading systems
- Ensure the efficiency of the trading systems landscape and integration of systems
- Coordinate configuration and change requests from business stakeholders
- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions
- Provide significant inputs to procurement activities and manage third-party suppliers
- Supervise projects within your perimeter and contribute to other related projects
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Help promote a learning culture and continuous improvement
- Contribute to strategy and budgeting exercises for Gas & Power IT
- 5+ years' experience of managing a multi-functional IT team
- At least 10 years' experience in the energy industry
- Experience of managing IT/Technology for a utility, power trading, or energy management company
- Knowledge of trading environments and energy trading and management systems
- Experience of IT procurement and supplier management is desirable
- Training and experience in IT service management, project management, agile methodologies, cloud, and database technologies is desirable
- Education to at least Master's degree level or equivalent in computer science or a similar technology or engineering discipline
