About the Role:
- Develop and execute trading strategies in European spot gas markets.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and price drivers to identify trading opportunities.
- Optimize forward gas portfolios in coordination with power trading and cross-commodity opportunities.
- Manage hedging activities and structured products linked to gas market dynamics.
- Leverage advanced analytics, models, and data tools to support trading decisions and forecast market movements.
Requirements:
- Degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Initial experience in spot gas trading, with a good understanding of European gas markets and their interconnection with power markets.
- Background or good understanding in gas logistics.
- Proficiency in analysing gas market fundamentals, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical influences.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with trading platforms and exchanges such as ICE, PEGAS, or similar.
- Strong risk management skills and the ability to operate within defined risk limits.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
