Job Description

Ligentec SA, a leading European company headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, is expanding its manufacturing capabilities through LIGENTEC France, located south of Paris. As a specialist in Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), we cater to high-tech industries such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies, and Biosensors.

To support our continued growth, we seek an experienced Photonics Project Manager to provide exceptional customer experience by acting as the interface between the customer, internal engineering teams, and suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers and serve as their primary point of contact.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define the Scope of Work (SoW).
  • Create project plans, SoW documents, effort estimations, and commercial proposals.
  • Offer technical support to customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and project partners.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with:

  • A customer-focused mindset.
  • At least 3 years of experience in integrated optics or semiconductors.
  • Industry experience in process integration, integrated photonics, or industrial project management.
  • A proven track record of meeting project targets in dynamic environments.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles is beneficial.
  • A Ph.D. in integrated photonics or semiconductor processing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with integrated photonics software tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Open-mindedness, communication, critical thinking, and innovation.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficiency in English.
