Internship in High Voltage Device Design

At HITACHI ENERGY LTD, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to contribute to the design and development of high voltage devices, such as gas circuit breakers and gas insulated switchgear.

About the Role

As an intern, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of test setups, performing simulations, and analyzing experimental data. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-end quality of our products.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of a project for pre-product development, focusing on innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Prepare experiments and post-process experimental results, utilizing your analytical skills to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Perform simulations (electric fields, mechanical stresses, thermal behavior, etc.) to optimize device performance and efficiency.
  • Provide CAD support for prototyping, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Your Ideal Background:
  • Enrolled student in physics, electrical/mechanical engineering, or a related subject (advanced B.Sc. or M.Sc. course), with a strong foundation in theoretical and practical aspects.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Team player with excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative and able to work autonomously, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Laboratory and experimental experience is an advantage, with proficiency in utilizing various tools and software.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, CAD tools, COMSOL, or ANSYS package is a plus, demonstrating your ability to adapt to new technologies.
