We are seeking a highly skilled Formulation Scientist to join our team at DSM. As a key member of our formulation development team, you will be responsible for developing new formulations and supporting idea generation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop new formulations for oral food and pharma applications
- Lead projects for controlled release formulations and formulations enhancing bioavailability
- Set up and lead an internal expert panel on controlled release and modulating bioavailability
- Work on mid-term, strategical pharma and nutraceutical solutions
- Plan, execute, and evaluate experiments
- Develop relevant characterization methods and evaluate new technologies/tools
- Safety assessment of laboratory processes and support of activities for reorganization of the laboratory area
- Train and guide laboratory staff
- Comprehensive reporting and documentation of results and experiments
- Education in pharmaceutical technology, food technology, chemistry, materials science or similar
- PhD with 5+ years of experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience
- Formulation development knowledge and expertise in relevant characterization methods
- Knowledge on modulating bioavailability and controlling release of bioactives at specific organs or release sites
- Collaborative mindset and results-oriented team player
- Innovative and creative mindset
- Agility and openness to change
- Fluent English, German will be an asset
