Michael Page is seeking a highly skilled Middle Office Specialist to join our team in a Private Equity Firm. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with investment teams to ensure the accurate and timely settlement of transactions, as well as maintaining and updating investment records.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual with 5-7 years of experience in middle office, fund administration, or private equity operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of private equity structures, transactions, and reporting, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Processing and Monitoring: Execute and monitor private equity transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and fund investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist in preparing and reviewing portfolio performance reports, coordinate with the front office to gather necessary information for ongoing portfolio analysis, and ensure that portfolio data is accurately reflected in internal systems and external reports.
  • Valuation and Reconciliation: Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate valuation of private equity holdings, conduct regular reconciliation of portfolios with fund administrators and custodians, and review and validate financial statements and capital account balances from general partners.
  • Investor Relations Support: Provide support to the investor relations team by preparing reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders, manage communication with limited partners regarding capital calls, distributions, and other fund-related activities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements, assist in developing and implementing risk management processes specific to private equity investments, and monitor and report on regulatory changes that could impact private equity operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional qualification (CFA, CAIA) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity structures, transactions, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary range for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
