Senior Category Procurement Specialist for Textiles and Composites

Job Overview:
Mitsubishi Chemical Group is seeking an experienced Senior Category Procurement Specialist to join our EMEA team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for glass-carbon fibres, staple fibers, fabrics, fleeces, and other related textiles in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing innovative procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of materials.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating price agreements, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Operations, Sales, and R&D, to align on regional product and supplier strategies.
- Ensuring alignment between category team and broader EMEA and global sourcing organization, including Centre of Excellence.
- Conducting market analysis based on business unit's product management specifications and feedback from production sites.
Requirements:
- A basic commercial or technical education, or academic degree in a related field (e.g. supply chain management, textile engineering or chemistry).
- Professional experience in procurement in an international environment, preferably in the composite, automotive, or similar industry.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, spend analysis tools, e-sourcing platforms, project management, and presentations.
- Experience in leading negotiation meetings/contract negotiations.
- Customer- and solution-oriented personality with very good communication skills in English and local language.
- Will to travel approximately 10% within EMEA.
