About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our Hero Group Strategy and Transformation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and analyzing the impact and opportunity potential for Hero in transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute pre- or post-transaction activities to ensure seamless integration and optimization of financial processes.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models to enable regular trading updates and valuation estimates, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of financial initiatives.
  • Manage risk and issue registers, ensuring that all financial activities are aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Access and quality check data sources to validate P&L, balance sheet, and net working capital figures, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Support the preparation of forward-looking business plans, providing strategic recommendations to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of analytics experience in business, consulting, or advisory firms, with a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data management and analysis.
  • Industry experience in consumer or retail preferred, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
