Industrial Chemist

BIAZZI S.A. is a world-renowned company in the field of nitration, hydrogenation and other key reaction technologies used in the energetic materials and chemicals industries.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Chemist - Process Optimization to join our team based in Montreux. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing and implementing complex chemical processes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and supervise hydrogenation tests according to customer requirements.
• Analyze and interpret results to ensure industrial extrapolation.
• Write technical reports in English and maintain regular communication with customers.

Your Profile:

• M.Sc. in chemistry or chemical engineering, possibly with a PhD.
• Very good knowledge of and strong interest in organic, analytical and industrial chemistry and chemical engineering.
• 2-4 years' experience as a production or development chemist in the chemical industry is an asset.
• Ability to perform complex calculations and dimensioning (on Excel) in the design of chemical production plants.
• Responsible, rigorous and flexible, customer-oriented with good oral and written communication skills and a taste for teamwork.
• French mother tongue or excellent level of French and English (C1 level min.). Other languages a plus (Italian, German).
• Swiss nationality, valid work permit or EU citizen eligible for B permit.
• Available for 10-30% European and intercontinental business trips.
