Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the overall solution for a system or sub-system, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the overall architecture for systems and sub-systems, including product trades and new technology introduction.
- Ensure that designs meet all requirements and are certified, qualified, and tested to the highest standards.
- Lead the certification, qualification, and testing strategy for products.
- Manage product change management and be the first technical point of contact for program managers, management, and customers.
- Chair and facilitate milestone reviews and work closely with team leaders to create and maintain schedules.
- Approve configured baselines for production (system shipset).
- University degree (Master's Degree) in a relevant engineering discipline (System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems).
- Thorough knowledge of involved engineering disciplines and demonstrated experience and expertise in the aviation sector, typically 5+ years, bringing projects to successful completion.
- Technical/engineering experience in aviation/aerospace with direct client management/engagement.
- Broad knowledge of other engineering disciplines, HW/SW development, mechanical engineering to assess/coordinate the product development cycle on a high level.
- Good understanding of certification and production methods and standards in aviation.
- Management skills, resources, and budget.
- Strong understanding of the company's key competitive strengths - technology, pricing, manufacturing capabilities, plans to scale, etc. - and being able to use these qualifications for identifying, engaging, and increasing the company's customer base.
