Senior Flight Physics Engineer

As a key member of the Leonardo team, you will play a crucial role in the development of the AW09, a next-generation single-engine helicopter. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer to lead the Flight Physics activities, ensuring the delivery of the latest safety standards, performance, and comfort at low operating costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to a multi-disciplinary team to support the development of Rotors, Transmission, Airframe Structures, Airframe systems, and Avionics.
- Technical Planning: Develop and perform overall technical planning, providing airworthiness verification support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering leadership and subject matter experts for the review and approval of engineering design solutions.
- Flight Physics Activities: Coordinate the development of in-house models/tools, model validation, aircraft level flight physics specifications, and compliance demonstration documents.
- Process Improvement: Facilitate the continuous improvement of the design-to-specification process.
Requirements:
- Education: University degree in Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience: Proficient knowledge in Rotorcraft Flight physics domains, minimum 10 years, with experience in analyzing and coordinating simulation, test data-model validation activity.
- Leadership: Minimum 3 years of Leadership experience.
- Language: English, minimum C1 (verbal & written).
