Master Pastry Chef Trainer

Les Roches Crans-Montana, a prestigious hospitality school within the Sommet Education Group, seeks a seasoned Master Pastry Chef Trainer to join its esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of classical and contemporary pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment. With a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in pastry arts, preferably in high-volume or fine dining establishments, they will be equipped to deliver high-quality academic and hands-on training in pastry arts to bachelor students. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts or a related field is essential, along with previous teaching or training experience in a culinary school or similar international educational setting.

A strong knowledge of pastry curriculum development, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable the successful candidate to inspire and motivate students. They must also have patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Teaching the pastry curriculum according to syllabus and lesson plans and contributing to its development
• Utilizing various teaching techniques, methods, and materials to engage students
• Creatively organizing pastry production in a learning environment
• Mentoring, supervising, and motivating students to guide them in their development as individuals and as a team
• Evaluating student performance through regular feedback based on practical and academic criteria, while maintaining accurate student records
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area, adhering to HACCP standards
• Ensuring the production of high-quality pastries that meet industry standards
