Job Description

The Environmental Conservation Program Manager will lead the implementation of the MSCF Bahamas program, focusing on the Super Coral Program and its Marine Conservation Center. Key objectives include ensuring timely delivery of the program within the agreed timeframe and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Set goals for the program in alignment with MSCF's strategic objectives and coordinate with relevant parties to develop a comprehensive plan, including milestones, deadlines, and team responsibilities.
  • Operations: Develop and manage the program budget, ensure operational efficiency, and oversee activities to comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Regularly assess program progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to address challenges.
  • Engagement & Coordination: Foster strong relationships with local, national, and international stakeholders, including academic partners, authorities, and MSC Group representatives, to facilitate program implementation and growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in program management, preferably in environmental conservation or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of Bahamian governmental and civil society stakeholders, particularly in marine conservation, and familiarity with the DEPP research permit system.
  • Broad knowledge of program management principles and success records of complex programs implementation.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to lead and materialize program activities efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliverables.
