About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at SMG Swiss Marketplace Group. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our online marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain the infrastructure using Terraform for infrastructure as code management and Kubernetes for efficient orchestration.
- Develop internal tooling to streamline the workflow of software engineers and enhance our product evolution, improving CI/CD via automated pipelines for fast, reliable delivery.
- Act as an enabler for the Engineering team, facilitating improvements to our products in a DevOps approach.
- Stay abreast of current trends in technology and leverage them to enhance our products.
- Performance monitoring and optimization for a smooth user experience and optimized costs.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in a development language such as Go, Java, C#, C/C++ or similar.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GCP/AWS or any other cloud provider.
- Knowledge of Istio for service mesh management.
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus (Mimir/Cortex), Tempo, and Loki.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as CircleCI or Github Actions.
- Familiarity with Cloudflare for optimizing performance and security.
