We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to join our team at Humanis AG, a global leader in innovative material science.

The Senior Category Buyer - Composites role plays a crucial part in driving the success of our supply chain by procuring and strategically managing designated composite material categories.

This key position combines supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, and operational excellence to deliver cost savings, quality improvements, and supplier performance enhancements.

• Develop and execute category strategies to optimize costs, quality, and supplier performance for designated composite categories.
• IDentify and qualify suppliers, lead sourcing initiatives, and negotiate agreements to secure best-value partnerships.
• Buid and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure collaboration, innovation, and supply continuity.
• Conduct regular analysis of market trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
• Partner with internal teams such as R&D, operations, and engineering to understand requirements and ensure alignment with procurement activities.
• IDentify risks within the supply chain and develop strategies to minimize potential disruptions.
• Monitor and report on category performance, ensuring targets related to cost savings, delivery, and quality are achieved.

• Proven track record in category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement, ideally in composites or advanced materials.
• Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a procurement category, from strategy development to execution and performance tracking.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong capability in market analysis, data interpretation, and financial acumen to support decision-making.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with composite materials and their applications in various industries is highly desirable.
• Fluency in German and English.
