VAT is a leading international developer, manufacturer, and supplier of high-performance high-end vacuum valves and vacuum sealing technology. We're looking for a skilled Firmware Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Your Challenges

  • Elaborate and implement technical solution concepts based on customer requirements
  • Customize and develop new features for mechatronics components
  • Drive engineering excellence by improving processes, tools, and knowledge exchange
  • Apply state-of-the-art technologies to fulfill project goals
  • Work in a cross-functional, multicultural, and globally spread team

Your Competencies

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field and experience in software architecture
  • Multi-year knowledge in embedded software development (C/C++, Git, debugging, and testing)
  • Knowledge in microcontroller and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C)
  • Experience with communication protocols (EtherCAT, Ethernet, DeviceNet, or CC-Link)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, German beneficial
