Senior Director, Global Head of Sterility Assurance and Contamination Control

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Sterility Assurance and Contamination Control efforts globally. As the Global Head of Sterility Assurance and Contamination Control, you will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive Sterility Assurance and microbial contamination control programs for our operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic and operational leadership and management for Sterility Assurance and Microbial Contamination Control across our entire manufacturing network.
- Global Strategy Development: Drive and oversee global Sterility Assurance and Microbial Contamination Control strategy, risk assessment, mitigation definition, and gap closure, as well as sustainable implementation in close collaboration with all sites and their Sterility Assurance and Microbial Contamination Control Leads.
- Contamination Event Response: Assist sites in response to adverse trends or contamination events with root cause analysis and global implementation of preventive actions where appropriate.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with other departments, such as Manufacturing, Quality Control, Analytical Services, Engineering, and Process Development, to ensure effective contamination control and a culture of mutual accountability.
- Industry Expertise: Establish and maintain a strong relationship with industry peers, relevant industry organizations, and health authorities to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in Sterility Assurance and Microbial Contamination Control.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Microbiology, Biology, or Pharmacy.
- Experience: Proven experience in aseptic/sterile manufacturing and Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in Sterility Assurance and Microbial Contamination Control.
- Skills: Excellent working knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements for manufacture of sterile and low Bioburden products, as well as hands-on experience in complex investigations, microbiological test technologies/methodology, and aseptic facility design.
