Packaging Innovation Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Engineer to join our team at Gi Group SA. As a Packaging Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and testing of package components and packaging systems.

• Design and Development: Support the design, development, and testing of package components and packaging systems to ensure regulatory compliance for transportation and product registration.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to adjacent supply chain functions and end-users to ensure a safe user-friendly customer experience.
• Data Management: Perform data management tasks related to packaging specifications.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Provide supervised support to NPI teams, ensuring all packaging-related milestones are completed on time.

• Education: B.S. in Packaging Engineering or correlated areas (Industrial Engineer, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
• Experience: Ideally, approximately 2 years of professional experience as a Packaging Engineer (experience in a similar industry would be beneficial but not mandatory).
• Skills: Experience in laboratory equipment for packaging measurement and testing is preferred. Ability to work supervised or independently with all functions to deliver goals on key projects or initiatives.
• Language: Intermediate English level (C1 or equivalent), German (Swiss) local language proficiency would be beneficial.
