Job Description
This internship provides an opportunity to work in close collaboration with scientists using brand new modelling and simulation tools. You will be involved in automating the validation of a pharmacometric model building tool within Roche's drug development environment.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the improvement of the tool using real pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics datasets, attending department meetings to understand the impact of modelling and simulation on drug development, and working towards developing hands-on experience in Pharmacometrics within a drug development setting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need basic knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, as well as statistics (theory and application). Demonstrated competence in coding in R, including handling data, writing functions, and reporting, is also essential.
Beyond technical skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently, craft and perform experiments, interpret results, and explore new scientific methodologies.
A proficiency in spoken and written English is also necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
