Specialty Internship in Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine

At the Universität Bern, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Specialty Intern in Anesthesia and Emergency/Critical Care Medicine. This 12-month internship will provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing emergency patients and intensive care unit patients under the supervision of specialists in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of emergency patients and intensive care unit patients under the supervision of specialists in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
- Management of anesthesia under the supervision of specialists in Anesthesia and Analgesia.
- Regular active participation in continuing education within the Emergency and Critical Care Medicine as well as Anesthesia departments.
- Night, weekend, and holiday shifts in the Intensive Care Unit and Anesthesia under supervision.
Requirements:
- A completed degree in Veterinary Medicine with a Swiss diploma or a diploma recognized by the Federal Office of Public Health.
- Enthusiasm for working in a large, international team.
- A specific interest in Emergency/Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesia and an appreciation for challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills.
- A desire to learn how to work independently and responsibly in the fields of Emergency/Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesia.
