Job Title: Trademark Examiner
Job Summary:
The WIPO is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Trademark Examiner in the Madrid Registry. This role will be responsible for examining and processing trademark applications, as well as providing support to clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Examination of Trademark Applications: Conduct thorough examination of trademark applications to ensure compliance with international trademark laws and regulations.
•Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
•Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
•Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with changes in international trademark laws and regulations, as well as WIPO policies and procedures.
Requirements:
•Education: First-level university degree in a related field, such as law, business, or engineering.
•Experience: At least three years of relevant professional experience in intellectual property, preferably in a trademark examining role.
•Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong attention to detail.
