Leading Manufacturing and Science at AliveDx

AliveDx, a pioneering company in the medical device industry, seeks a seasoned leader to spearhead its Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) department. As the Department Leader, Manufacturing and Science Expert, you will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes, ensuring the company's products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Process Development and Capacity Planning:

    You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes that support AliveDx's new product development, ensuring processes are scalable, efficient, and cost-effective.

  • Process Innovation and Automation:

    As the leader of the MSAT department, you will drive innovations in automation, develop and implement new manufacturing systems, and ensure they align with the company's needs for high-volume manufacturing.

  • Process Improvement and Non-Conformance Management:

    You will lead efforts to continuously improve manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, and quality, and promote the use of statistical and data-driven approaches to enhance product and process reliability.

  • Equipment and Process Management:

    You will supervise activities related to equipment design, process management, maintenance, and calibration, ensuring equipment and processes are optimized for long-term performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Supplier and External Partner Management:

    You will build and maintain strong relationships with engineering service suppliers, ensuring they provide high-quality, long-term support and align with AliveDx's strategic goals.

  • Team Leadership:

    You will set clear goals and objectives for the MSAT team, empower them through coaching, clear communication, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

About the Role:

  • A Master's degree in sciences, technology, or engineering is required, and over 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations and operations engineering in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.

  • You must have demonstrated leadership in managing teams and navigating complex problem-solving challenges in a data-driven environment.

  • Fluency in English and French is required.
