Data Scientist

VF Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights. As a Data Scientist at VF Corporation, you will work on challenging problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive data-driven decision making for all functions and brands of VF Corporation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop predicting models in the area of DTC marketing.
• Develop models in the area of supply and demand chain.
• Monitor and maintain the already deployed models to ensure that the performances remain outstanding.
• Present the results to our internal stakeholders.
• Have a continuous dialogue with Data Engineers and DevOps to drive new development in the area of model productionalization.

Requirements:

• Python Proficiency: demonstrated ability to write efficient, clean Python code for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
• Data Science and Machine Learning: strong understanding of core ML concepts (clustering, classification, regression, dimensionality reduction).
• Time Series Forecasting: extensive experience with time series forecasting methods (statistical, ML, and DL).
• Deep Learning and Generative AI: knowledge of main neural network topologies for computer vision and natural language modeling (CNNs, RNNs, autoencoders, transformers, LLMs, diffusion models, RAG, etc.).
• Hyperparameter Optimization: Familiarity with best practices (e.g., Bayesian optimization).
• Statistical Analysis: Solid grasp of hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and statistical modeling.
• Querying and DBs: Deep knowledge of SQL; familiarity with other languages is a plus.
• Nice to have: knowledge of recommender systems.

Tools and Platforms:

• Version Control: Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration.
• AWS Ecosystem: Experience with AWS services (e.g., Sagemaker, Redshift, Bedrock) is a plus.
• Data Visualization: Familiarity with PowerBI or Tableau for presenting project results.

Soft Skills:

• Adaptability: Ability to react swiftly to changes and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Self-Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Teamwork: Positive, proactive attitude toward collaboration.
• Communication: Fluency in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in retail will be considered as a plus.
