About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to support our facilities in Visp. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for planning and executing projects, ensuring maintenance is carried out professionally and economically, and working with SAP to optimize plant and personnel deployment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute partial and small projects, including process engineering calculations and optimizations
- Conduct feasibility studies for new plants and/or conversions of existing plants, including cost estimates, deadlines, and functionality
- Perform risk analyses, operational tests, and conversions, as well as provide deputies and services within the department
- Ensure maintenance is carried out professionally and economically, while ensuring sufficient plant availability
- Work with SAP to optimize plant and personnel deployment
- Collaborate in monitoring and adhering to the available budget in the area of responsibility
- Update and check plant documentation, including flow charts, zone and installation plans, parts lists, and change management in accordance with GMP
- Support training of the plant team and workshop personnel on process and plant knowledge, safety, hygiene, environment, and quality (cGMP)
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
- Technical college degree FH/HF or equivalent
- Experience in the field of Biotech/Pharma production preferred
- Good knowledge of GMP, COMOS (Plant Engineering Software), and SAP is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, with strong teamwork skills
- Structured, focused, and well-organized work behavior
- Solution-oriented and open to new ideas
- Fluent English is required, good German language skills would be an advantage
