The purpose of this role is to manage and supervise chartering and operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods worldwide. This includes chartering vessels, managing teams, and developing strategies to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
Main Accountabilities:- Charter safe and competitive tonnage for trading purposes
- Provide market information, evaluation, and shipping opportunities to the trading department
- Manage a team to ensure efficient shipping operations 24 hours a day
- Prepare reports on company activity
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party providers (owners, brokers, agents)
- Mastery's degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with ship owners, charterers, or shipbrokers
- A strong network within the shipping community
- Fluent written/oral English and French (professional negotiation level)
