System Architect

As a System Engineer at Stadler Rail, you will be responsible for the system engineering of a hardware & software system in ETCS (European Train Control System). Your tasks will include the design and integration of on-board systems into rail vehicles, as well as the creation of concepts, system requirements specifications, and electrical schematics.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in static & dynamic commissioning of the systems in rail vehicles as well as in type tests in the field
- Prepare evidences for authorization
- Interface with customers, assessors, and suppliers
- Work in complicated projects with a large number of stakeholders and in a multi-cultural environment
- Develop system architecture
- Further development of the system based on customer requirements
- Completed technical education as mechanical, electronic, or computer science engineer (ETH/TU/FH or comparable)
- Fluent English language skills (spoken and written)
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel in Europe (up to 25%)
- Knowledge of ETCS including European Railway Agency (ERA) standards
- Knowledge of National Train Control Systems in different European countries (e.g. PZB, PZB/LZB, ATB-EG, TBL1+, SCMT, MIREL, Zub123, etc.)
- Experience with Class B systems integration
- Knowledge of tools like DOORS, RQM, CCM, as well as MVB protocols and/or the simulation environment
- German spoken and written
- Experience in hardware integration
