Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our engineering team at Sauber Motorsport AG. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the development and operation of our advanced DIL simulators, designing and implementing motion cueing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and technicians who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in motorsport. You'll have the chance to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to the development of new technologies and innovations.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced motion cueing systems.
- Design and develop simulator peripheral systems, including audio and visual components, cockpit environments, and data analysis tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and perform experiments and tests in the simulator.
- Contribute to the development of new technologies and innovations, and support simulator test sessions as needed.
Your Profile
- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Previous management or team leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in simulator engineering, particularly in high-level motorsport domains like Formula 1.
- Proven expertise in simulation, system modeling, and software development using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++, and C#.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong ability to motivate and guide a team.
