We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to join our team at Eawag in Dübendorf, Switzerland.
Job Summary
The selected candidate will be responsible for accessing and downscaling climate model outputs for several locations in Switzerland, with a focus on microclimate modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Access and process climate model outputs from an ensemble of convective permitting climate models
- Statistically downscale these outputs for several locations in Switzerland
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary consortium of researchers in urban water management, urban climate, and urban biodiversity
- Exchange ideas with a PhD student working on the same project
Requirements
- Completed MSc in Atmospheric Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Experience working with climate models or climate data, command line, and supercomputers
- Strong background in statistics
