Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at the Hotel Fiescherblick in Grindelwald, Switzerland. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes à la carte, working collaboratively with our dynamic team, and contributing creative ideas to develop new menu items.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Collaborate with our chef de cuisine and sous chef to develop new menu items and improve existing ones.
- Culinary Operations: Prepare and present high-quality dishes à la carte, ensuring exceptional presentation and flavor.
- Team Leadership: Support and train our Commis de Cuisine, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their role.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ordering systems to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Quality Control: Ensure compliance with HACCP standards and maintain high-quality standards in food preparation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our service team and other departments to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless dining experience.
Requirements
- Culinary Experience: Completed vocational training as a cook and several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in an upscale restaurant environment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Culinary Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English, with knowledge of German and French an advantage.
