The Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ) is an interdisciplinary research and training center that supports life science research with state-of-the-art technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled Genomics Expert to join our Genomics Unit, which supports next generation sequencing (NGS) methods and strategies.
This position offers a unique opportunity to join a team of highly motivated professionals in a rapidly evolving technology field. You will work closely with researchers and provide expert advice on genomics-related projects.
Responsibilities:- Support NGS protocols in genome engineering
- Engage in project discussions and experimental planning with research groups
- Provide training and instruction for PhD students
You will independently manage entire workflows, from project conception to execution, while contributing to data interpretation in collaboration with the Genome Bioinformatics team.
Requirements:- PhD or MS in molecular biology or a related field
- Deep knowledge of cell biology and genomics technologies
- Strong project management and communication skills
The ideal candidate should be highly team-oriented, flexible, organized, and adaptable, with advanced knowledge of English as the working language.
