The Global Supply Chain Manager will play a key role in supporting the Procurement team in the Administration Division, Governance Services Department at WMO. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the organization's mission and goals.
Main Responsibilities:- Supply Chain Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to achieve project objectives, taking into account market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost considerations.
- Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on their technical specifications, pricing, and product/service quality, ensuring a competitive and compliant procurement process.
- Contract Negotiation and Administration: Negotiate, administer, and monitor contracts to ensure timely delivery, compliance with terms and conditions, and optimal value for money.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular communication with requisitioning units, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolution of any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- At least five years of experience in supply chain management or procurement, preferably in a multinational organization.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, commerce, engineering, law, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and migration processes is an asset.
Languages: Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of French is desirable; knowledge of another official language of the Organization is an advantage.
