We are seeking a talented PhD researcher to contribute to our research project on simulating tipping points in energy transitions. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in agent-based modelling, urban dynamics, and decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a deep understanding of urban energy systems and their interactions
- Designing and implementing an ABM to simulate transition paths and analyze tipping points
- Collaborating with the research team to identify critical phase transitions and optimize the model
- Supporting teaching activities and contributing to the development of educational materials
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong academic background in Computer Science, Energy, Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. Excellent programming skills and experience with modelling software are essential. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French and/or German is beneficial.
