**Overview**

We are a multidisciplinary research laboratory focused on landscape development and urban ecology.

Our mission is to advance the understanding of ecological aspects in urban areas and develop innovative solutions for sustainable cities.


**Job Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will support us in developing novel approaches to the planning and design of green spaces and green infrastructure, including participatory approaches, and integrating these into spatial planning.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Conducting original research in the field of landscape development with a focus on ecological aspects and urban areas.
  • Research in collaboration with the research team, the ENAC faculty, and potential stakeholder partners.
  • Teaching in the fields of urban ecology and landscape/green planning.
  • Contributing to broad lab activities and academic services.


**Requirements**

We seek a highly motivated and talented individual with:

  • Experience and sound knowledge in at least one of the following fields: urban ecology and related disciplines, landscape and green space planning and design, qualitative or quantitative system modelling, interdisciplinary approaches in landscape development.
  • Interest in and commitment to inter- and transdisciplinary research.
  • High level of performance based on independent conceptual and scientific work.
  • Excellent communication and moderation skills, including visualisation, creativity, organisational skills, and openness as well as intercultural competence.
  • Commitment to teaching and interacting with students.
  • Experience in writing proposals and teaching.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of German and French is an advantage.
