About the Role

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer at J. Safra Sarasin, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our core banking system (Avaloq) and other in-house developed applications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive automated testing framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop automated test scripts based on detailed specifications and requirements
  • Continuously improve and expand the automation coverage to ensure maximum test efficiency
  • Ensure that automated test cases are executed without errors and provide detailed analysis and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs
  • Enhance and maintain the automation framework to support evolving business needs
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Requirements

  • Higher education in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology
  • At least 5 years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on software development and quality assurance
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages, including a strong understanding of software development fundamentals
  • Excellent Excel skills and SQL knowledge are essential
  • Familiarity with system architectures, APIs, and Avaloq is highly desirable
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and microservice architectures will be valuable in future growth opportunities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with users at all levels of the organization
  • Fluency in English is required, with fluency in Portuguese and/or German being a plus
