About the Role
This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience through a temporary work placement at ABB's Corporate Research Center in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland. You will be working closely with the Sensing & Analytics team, which focuses on innovative solutions in sensor technology, sensing electronics, and perception sensing.

Job Description
The successful candidate will have the chance to work on different aspects of a sensor system for automation of electrical protection systems. The focus is on experimental design, sensor selection, signal acquisition, and data interpretation. You will also get to review academic literature, document findings, and develop solutions.

Responsibilities
- Design experiments and select sensors
- Implement dedicated signal acquisition
- Analyze and process sensor signals
- Extract and classify information
- Document findings and developed solutions

Requirements
- Pursuing a degree (enrollment to 5th semester or higher) in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Interested in industrial sensor solutions, signal and data interpretation, and experimental lab work
- Experience with electronics, signal acquisition/processing, and programming (preferably Matlab)
- Willing to learn and adapt to new research topics
- Self-motivated and hands-on attitude
- Proficient in English communication
