Job Description

The Finance Applications Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery and day-to-day support of software products that meet business requirements. This specialist ensures software applications are efficient and aligned with business objectives.

This position requires extensive experience in software or systems development, implementation, and operations, as well as excellent finance business process understanding. Proficiency in SAP FI/CO, accounting principles, and regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration and management of new and existing software applications according to defined business requirements.
  • Run/Lead mid to large-sized projects related to operations, including incident, problem, and request management.
  • Provide guidance to project team members.
  • Develop and refine software application configuration processes and procedures.
  • Work with other technical teams to design and integrate finance systems.
  • Investigate and resolve finance applications software errors, identify root cause of issues, and determine strategies to avoid recurrence.
  • Propose solutions to complex system design and implementation problems.
  • Ensure appropriate testing, evaluation, and implementation of finance systems.
  • Ensure service level agreements are met, and performance targets are achieved.
  • Proactively provide innovative ideas on problems encountered and seek to enhance existing processes.
  • Collaborate with IT departments and other stakeholders to ensure IT policy and procedures are followed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

What We Expect:

  • Strong financial acumen, functional and technical knowledge in SAP FI/CO, accounting principles, and regulations.
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the finance systems industry or information technology management.
  • Strong skills in project management with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and able to deliver within time and quality constraints.
  • Possessing extensive technical knowledge across finance applications, organizational, and business knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with an ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations.
