Reliable Technical Support Specialist

Salary RangeWe offer a competitive salary range for this position, estimated to be between $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Job DescriptionThe Field Support Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring peak reliability in challenging environments by delivering world-class technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for commercial Carbon Capture plants. Your mission involves investigating and analyzing technical issues reported by customers, identifying possible root causes, and using data and analytics to diagnose the most important contributors.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define immediate mitigation actions to field issues and develop long-term solutions along with design and manufacturing teams. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to internal development teams, ensuring that lessons learned from field experience are incorporated into new designs.
Your responsibilities also include managing customer relationships and expectations, continuously monitoring product performance and customer feedback, and proactively identifying areas for improvement and driving product enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or have completed a technical diploma (Konstrukteur/in EFZ).
- You have 2-5 years of engineering experience involving industrial equipment with a focus on integration.
- You demonstrate a passion for investigating and solving interdisciplinary problems, including mechanical systems, electrical components, I&C, and industrial processes.
- You possess a problem-solving mindset with a high-level overview of engineering principles and mechanical design.
- You demonstrate a collaborative approach with excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Your CAD and PLM experience would be highly valued.
