Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Administer the procurement process, including tendering, orders, and contract negotiations.
- Negotiate and position BakerHicks and its clients in advantageous positions when procuring goods or services.
- Develop and negotiate terms and conditions in line with the form of contract.
- Comply with BakerHicks' and client quality assurance and management systems.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure contracted compliance of their work.
- Effectively report progress to project managers and take ownership for the timely delivery of purchase orders and service contracts.
- Completed commercial or technical apprenticeship with further education in purchasing/business administration.
- 10+ years' experience as a procurement manager in the construction or related industries.
- 3+ years' experience as a procurement manager in the Pharma/Life Sciences sector.
- Strong knowledge of commonly used model forms of supply and construction contracts for the DACH region.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Team player with a willingness to work extended hours when required.
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
