Capital Projects Director

As a Senior CAPEX Program Manager, you will lead the design and execution of capital investment projects within Visp's Shared Infrastructure. Your role involves ensuring safety, budget, schedule, quality, and functionality compliance while overseeing multinational project teams and collaborating with senior management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage CAPEX projects from concept to handover, guaranteeing scope, cost, and timeline adherence.
- Establish project charters, control systems, and risk management frameworks to ensure project success.
- Oversee engineering, project reviews, and technical compliance to maintain high standards.
- Lead internal and external resources, promoting best practices and innovation in project delivery.
- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), regulatory, and quality compliance in all project phases.
- Foster knowledge-sharing within the engineering community to enhance collaboration and expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Plant, or similar) is required.
- 5–10 years of engineering experience, including 5 years in CAPEX projects (Energy, Wastewater, etc.), is essential.
- Strong project management, contract management, and leadership skills are necessary for success in an international environment.
- Expertise in infrastructure project engineering, ideally in chemical or pharmaceutical industries, is preferred.
- HSE knowledge, interdisciplinary expertise, and stakeholder management skills are vital for effective project delivery.
- Fluency in English; German is an asset.
