Global Project Manager Rail Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Project Manager to oversee various rail and e-Mobility customer projects within the ABB Traction Division in Turgi, Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take on commercial project management responsibility for several engineered-to-order customer projects.
  • Act as a trusted and reliable point of contact for our customers and other ABB Traction locations worldwide.
  • Ensure an efficient and effective collaboration with all internal stakeholders (Engineering, R&D, Production, Supply Chain, Service...).
  • Actively identify project risks and opportunities with regards to timing, costs, and contractual considerations, and initiate suitable countermeasures.
  • Work on optimizing the general processing and use of resources, contribute to internal improvement projects, applying Lean Six Sigma methods.
  • Perform Transfer of Production Projects within ABB Traction Division.
Requirements
  • Knowledge about Drives and Converters Systems and technical affinity with railway or e-Mobility business.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management in an industrial preferably railway / e-mobility environment.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • PMP or equivalent recognized PM certification.
  • Professional level in English and German, other languages an asset.
